This concept reflects Chinese culture, permeating philosophy, art, and daily life. It is not merely a psychological state, but a spiritual pursuit and a way of life. Through self-cultivation, continuous exploration, and elevation of one's "mindscape," one pursues inner harmony and transcendence. The work is being created in Guangzhou this Spring and will premiere in China in June before making its US premiere at ADF. The work will feature US dancers from Shen Wei Dance Arts and Chinese dancers from Guangdong Modern Dance Company. This will be the first co-production between the two dance companies.
