White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2030

Event details Date: Friday, August 7, 2026 Time: 2:00 PM Location: Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium Type: Student Life About this event The White Coat Ceremony is a symbolic rite of passage. In the presence of family and guests, new medical students are welcomed into the community by leaders of the College of Medicine, where they are ceremonially cloaked with doctors’ white coats. They stand to take the oath committing them to the profession of healing, impressing upon them the primacy of the doctor-patient relationship.
