UC San Diego Career Night Tokyo

Event details Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026 Time: All day Type: Arts / Performance Audience: Alumni, Students About this event After a two-year hiatus, UC San Diego Career Night is back on July 29! Like the previous events, this event will be open to all UC San Diego alumni, students spending their summer in Japan and incoming students heading to San Diego in the fall. Choosing the right career path that works for you isn't always easy, but making the best possible choice is essential for your long-term career growth and satisfaction. Please join us for a fun and educational evening where we'll focus on career-building insights from a diverse group of UC San Diego alumni. You'll hear stories about how they have navigated the job market (or ventured out on their own) following their studies at UC San Diego, and there will also be plenty of time for Q&A. Ulrike Schaede, professor of Japanese Business at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) and director of the Japan Forum for Innovation & Technology (JFIT), will join us to update us on the latest at the school and share her take on career development post-graduation. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., the program starts at 7 p.m. and we'll wrap up at 8:30 p.m. The venue is in Roppongi 7-chome. Following the program, there will be a casual networking event at Rio Brewing & Co so that people can meet and build their professional and personal networks. If you can't attend the main event but plan to join the casual networking event, please select that ticket at checkout. The deadline to RSVP is Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. PST. You must be on the registration list to enter the security-controlled venue. It is a short walk from either Nogizaka Station or Roppongi Station. After you register, we will share venue details with registered attendees. Space is limited, so sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
