Pack your carry-on and board your flight to Freak Nature Park, a most unique and unnatural wonder. You and your fellow tourists will encounter gentle giants, lovelorn copilots, a lonely lavatory, cursed Crankmen, and creatures of all kinds. Just don’t get too close—if you die in Freak Nature Park, you die in real life. Please exit through the gift shop.
What to Expect:
Described by Currant Jam Magazine as a collective where “event planning meets arts & crafts, sculpture, sketch comedy, clowning, music, and experimental performance art,” Freak Nature’s work offers a fun entry point into the joyful, creative world of contemporary puppetry and performance.

Bio:
Freak Nature Puppets is a Los Angeles–based artist collective creating dreamlike worlds through giant puppetry, physical theater, music, and participatory performance. Inspired by the radical puppetry of Bread and Puppet Theater, the visual imagination of Mummenschanz, and the joyful absurdity of Pee-wee Herman, Freak Nature crafts immersive experiences that invite audiences into playful acts of creativity and wonder. Their collaborators have included Dead & Company, Childish Gambino, Bob Baker Marionette Theater, and Poncili Creación, and they developed the collective as the inaugural artists-in-residence at Los Angeles’ Elysian Theater.
Presented by USC Visions and Voices. Organized by the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Co-sponsored by Freak Nature Puppets and The Elysian Theater.
