As America approaches its 250th anniversary, it's an important question—and the answer is different for everyone. That's why the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future and the USC Open Dialogue Project are inviting you to join the National Roundtable on the American Dream, a series of small-group conversations where people from different backgrounds come together to share their experiences, learn from one another, and help shape a national conversation. The insights from these discussions will contribute to a national report published by Newsweek. If you'd like your voice to be part of the conversation, we'd love to have you join us. 📅 August 10-15, 2026 🔗 Register here: https://www.allsides.com/american-dream The National Roundtable on the American Dream will take place between August 10-15, 2026. Participants can register for a date and time within that week that works for them and will receive additional details and joining instructions after registering. Partners include AllSides, Nationwide Insurance, Newsweek, Braver Angels, Living Room Conversations, USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future, and the USC Open Dialogue Project. Who can participate? Anyone who is interested in having a respectful conversation and learning from others. Participants come from different backgrounds, industries, communities, political perspectives, age groups, and life experiences. No special expertise is required. Is this political? No. The Roundtable is not designed to persuade people, debate political issues, or advocate for a particular viewpoint. The goal is to create space for people to share experiences, listen to one another, and learn from different perspectives. What happens during the conversation? Participants join a virtual discussion with a small group of people. A simple conversation guide helps everyone take turns sharing their experiences and perspectives. The discussion focuses on listening, learning, and understanding—not debating or convincing others. 🔗 Register here: https://www.allsides.com/american-dream Official event details: https://calendar.usc.edu/event/what-does-the-american-dream-mean-to-you
