SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program
United States Department of Defense
A national scholarship-for-service program for eligible students pursuing approved STEM degrees at accredited United States institutions.
Who may qualify
Applicants must satisfy the current citizenship, age, academic, internship, and post-graduation employment requirements published by SMART.
What the program provides
May include tuition support, an annual stipend, internships, mentoring, and employment placement.
Service commitment
Recipients accept a post-graduation civilian employment commitment with the Department of Defense.
